Fantasyfest

Date TBA 2012, 10am to 4.30pm
Held at the Museum of Fire, 1 Museum Drive
Penrith

Come and meet Pirates, Fairys, Vikings, Elves, Witches, Ninjas, Warrior Knights, R2D2 and Barbarians, just to name a few of the colourful characters attending Fantasyfest 2011

This festival will be like your favourite characters have come to life from the pages of books or off the big screen and will be performing right in front of you.

The Knights of Nova Hollandia Entertainment will thrill you with their amazing colourful horses and brave Knights in the bone jarring Medieval Joust, and the Barbarian Horseback Archery Show.  Come and see the wonderful Peter Pan show being performed by Sydneys premier Sword Play group, along with other swashbuckling shows throughout the day.

Patrons are encouraged to wear any Fantasy, Cartoon, Steampunk, Scifi or Cosply costumes each day and can enter the best dressed competition to win great prises.  It is expected that this parade will be an entertaining spectacle in its own right.

Musicians from Orions Consort and local duo The TeaPots will also perform under the trees in the grounds of the Museum of Fire at Penrith.

Parking is free off Coreen Avenue and the event is only 300 meters walk from the Penrith train station (north side exit)

Event organiser Katrina Kruse commented We wanted to have a fun fantasy filled weekend for the whole family. There is something here for everyone from 2 to 102 years old. Come dressed to kill to win fantastic prices each day.

We are very fortunate to have some of Australias premier entertainment groups performing over the weekend.  The Joust is the jewel in the crown and will be performed twice a day, but is supported by a vast array of Swashbuckling sword and combat shows, Horseback Archery, Musicians, Steampunk displays, movie make up and prosthetics displays and great fantasy stalls, just for starters

For the youngsters there is Knights School and Archery to try their hand at and free face painting.
